“Ali Zaoua” is a film about orphans that live in the streets of the port town Casablanca. It resembles the Italian neo-realistic film “The Bicycle thief”. The film deals with subjects such as solidarity, patience, violence that leads to death and friendship between adults and children. The whole cast are amateurs and the children are genuine orphans from Casablanca. A sad, warm film that stays in your mind.
