A story of a simple family of farmers from their wedding to their death. Throughout their entire married life, the wife serves her husband a cheap coffee substitute (chicory). But the misanthropic ruffian never notices the deception, even though everybody else knows about it. It is a simple story about our inability to show our loved ones how we feel about them, until it is too late.
