About the director:

Carolina Astudillo Muñoz (born in 1975 in Santiago, Chile) is a documentary filmmaker based in Barcelona (Spain). She studied social communication at the University of Santiago (Chile), filmmaking at the Catholic University of Chile and documentary filmmaking at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). She has always been inspired by women and their relationship to political struggle and collective / personal memory.

Her first documentary film “Of Monsters and Skirts” (2008) evokes the years in jail of a group of women under the Franco Dictatorship told by their daughters. “The Unspeakable” is her second short documentary film.
