“The 38th Parallel North” is an analytical vision of reality that tells the social and political situation of South Korea after the bombing of the army of North Korea in 2010. This video was created during Artist-in-Residence program in Gunsan, South Korea. The city in itself was the source of inspiration. Investigating the dynamics of the place, this video follows local individuals (still regulated by strong traditions) through an urban landscape that is unrecognizable to its progress, speed, and strong U.S. military presence.
