An indeterminate location, summer. A group of people ask themselves where they might live. They imagine countries, communities, and places. Time passes. They listen to the song over and over again: “He woke up between the magical and the mystical, the practical and the political, the prophetic and the poetic, the tragic and the gloomy...”
World premiere of the film took place in Toronto IFF 2018.
About the director
Helena Wittmann was born 1982 in Neuss, Germany. Originally studying Spanish and Media Studies in Erlangen and Hamburg, she went on to attend The Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg (HFBK) between 2007 – 2014. Since 2015 she is working as artistic research assistant at The Hochschule für bildende Künste. Her work was shown internationally in exhibitions and film festivals.
